The Happiest Of Seasons!

Every year, I am reminded of what is truly important during the hectic Holiday Season! The Birth of Our Lord! Long ago and far away, I was contemplating the approaching Season. With no money to spare and only a measly salary, I wasn't looking forward to Christmas at all. My best friend at West Point Military Academy came home for a visit. And, he declared to me as he was leaving " What's not to like about the Season? Jesus Christ was born; It's his birthday!" And right then and there, I believed and I celebrated Christmas. And, to this day, I'll always have that memory of that very special Soldier who taught me the meaning of friendship and the meaning of Christmas as I had never felt before or since. So, I do wish everyone a very peaceful and spiritual Christmas. And, thank you, Major D.S.N. - where ever you may be, May God Bless You & All The Soldiers! Peace Throughout the Holiday Season!

Time for Change

It's been a bit of time since I've blogged ... been busy! Well, a new change is in the air. History was made 4 Nov. 2008 with our first ever African American President, Barack Obama. I lend my prayers that President Obama leads this nation with Grace, Wisdom, Strength, Courage, and so much more.

And on another note ... I have a small picture of my new shop on my homepage. I wish that I could put a sign above the door ... but, being that it is now a home based business, I cannot place a sign anywhere on the property. I assure you that the shop is fully functional with a walk in cooler, utility sinks, flowers, ribbons, etc. Give me a call and I will gladly set up a time to show you. The positive side of downsizing is the fact that I do pass the savings on to you! Tremendous savings! I place more flowers in the arrangement and offer more services such as emailing that picture so that my customers can see what they pay for! Kind of nice in these rough economical times! Also, the majority of arrangements that you see on this website is what I've created with my own two hands. This isn't a cookie cutter website with replicated designs. Everything is custom made and if there is a preference that you do not see - give me call!

Well ... I will try to type and post more often. I am active with several organizations in Carson City - so, it keeps me out of trouble! Til next time! Peace & Blessings!

Creating Bouquets

I love it when a plan comes together! Creating Bridal Bouquets can be a soothing outlet for me... more so than any other arrangement. Some florists stress - but for me, I liken it to composing the next great symphony. Every Bride is different and I try and show their uniqueness in small creative touches.

Gerbera Daisies

I think that the Gerbera Daisy is a pretty flower ... however, it is tempermental. Until now ... I recently bought a small bottle of Chrysal Gerbera "pills". They work amazing! Gerberas that I bought for a wedding 10 days ago are still looking as fresh as when they came in to my wholesaler's shop. And, for a florist, gerberas can be hard to keep in any cooler. So, for anyone that loves these bright colored flowers, ask your florist if they have Chrysal Gerbera pills. It is worth the extra purchase - 1 pill for every 1 liter of water. Re-cut the stems and change the water every 3 -4 days.

Knowledge is the key to options! Options is the key to success!

Hello, Everyone! This is the start of the Bloomer's blogging website. It is my hope to answer questions, provide options and answers, listen to feedback, etc. so that I can help consumers make informed decisions on their floral and wedding/special event choices. I am honored to be the voice of so many when it comes to those special moments - when words cannot be expressed. Or when family and friends across the land want to send flowers when they themselves cannot be there. I take pride in going the extra mile in providing exceptional floral services. I take pride in what I create for my clients and for what I have delivered to the recipient. I look forward to your comments, suggestions, and questions.
